Location and directions

Map to the Marine Science Center

The Marine Science Center is located at 100 Lighthouse Drive in Ponce Inlet.

After traveling all the way East on Dunlawton Ave. (Port Orange Exit off I-95), drive south (right) on South Atlantic Avenue, until it dead-ends at the tollbooth for Lighthouse Point Park. Turn right on Lighthouse Drive before reaching the tollbooth. The main entrance for the Marine Science Center is located on the right off of Lighthouse Drive.

Where do the students get dropped off?
If arriving by bus, please stop the bus on Lighthouse Drive next to the Marine Science Center entrance sign and sidewalk entrance. Students will be escorted up the main sidewalk to the front entrance of the Marine Science Center.

If arriving by separate cars, please park in the main parking on the right off Lighthouse Drive (after main MSC sign). After parking, walk up the boardwalk to the Marine Science Center.

Where do we park the bus?
After safely dropping off the students, bus will proceed (straight) down Lighthouse Drive to the stop sign; turn right, and park at the boat trailer parking on the right. When the students are ready to be picked up, the bus will return to the main entrance sidewalk of the Marine Science Center (where the students were dropped off). A designated chaperone will then act as a school crossing guard, while students cross the road to enter the bus.

When else is the bus needed during the school field trips?
The bus must be available, if you have chosen an extended program, to take students to Lighthouse Point Park for lunch and further activities during the field trip. Upon arrival the driver will get specific instructions on your program schedule.
